LOVE JERKS
LOVE JERKS
Love Jerks is a San Francisco duo who make future-sound New Wave anthems and dream-pop ballads that leave you no choice but to dance, or swoon, or both. The offspring of two longtime lead singers—Bryan Garza of Scissors for Lefty (vocals, guitar) and Rebecca Garza-Bortman of Happy Fangs and My First Earthquake (vocals, bass)—Love Jerks was born when these two jerks, yes, fell in love. They met in a rock club; got married in a rock club; and somewhere in between they discovered a mutual affection for Grimes, The Pretenders, Tame Impala, and French pop from the 1960s. The result feels fated: magnetic melodies, wry lyricism, and a theatrical stage show that the pair bring to life with the help of their third member, a virtual psychedelic animal drummer. Love Jerks’ first full-length came out November 2, 2018.
TANGERINE
TANGERINE
Sisters Marika and Miro Justad and Toby Kuhn have been making guitar inflected indie pop music together since childhood. They have been dubbed "girl group grunge-gorgeous indie" (The Guardian), "dreamy pop" (Billboard), and "windows down pop" (Rookie Magazine). In 2017 Tangerine recorded the singles “Fever Dream” and “Sly Moon” produced by Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions) and Zach Dawes (Mini Mansions) and toured the U.S. with Bleachers (Jack Antonoff). TANGERINE recently moved from Seattle to Los Angeles, where they found inspiration for the "White Dove" EP- an 80s guitar-laced pop record about yearning, nostalgia, female friendship & the messiness of finding yourself in your 20s.
Billie Gale
Billie Gale
Billie Gale began as the solo, singer-songwriter project of Beth Garber, with a sincere, lyric driven style reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake. Soaked in the rainy-day rock of her native PNW, influences like David Bazan and Ben Gibbard further fueled the songwriter’s introspective, soul-searching sound.
The addition of Adam Wayne (Charmparticles) on guitar brought immersive and ethereal tones similar to those of bands like Slowdive and Low, and a drive that commands and accelerates with careful intention. With Eric Shawn interweaving melodic, Colin Greenwood inspired bass lines, and Justin Wayne on drums, expanding the heights and depths of dynamic limits, Billie Gale finds its home in the interplay between the contemplative and the outcry.

As pretty as it is sad, driving as it is heartfelt; Billie Gale explores the floor and ceiling of what it has to say. At one moment creating deeply melodic layers, then pulling the layers apart to leave a single guitar bare, extending from its songwriter roots, Billie Gale reaches out in all directions, only to point back to its core.
