Horsebladder
Horsebladder
Horsebladder is Elaine Kahn, a poet & musician currently living in Northampton, Massachusetts. Kahn uses minimalist loops & incantation to create primitive pop songs for the second body. Vocals range from ethereal to ragged, music is a corporeal daydream of night sweats & sad sex, laced with preconscious allusions to Dome, Two Daughters & Catullus. Previous releases on Yod Tapes & Night People.
Burmese
Burmese
"Burmese are a vicious, hideous band, in that there's nothing comforting or subtle about their attack. While the noise-rock tag has been thrown at any band with the slightest hint of fuzz or whatever constitutes "edge" these days, it's beyond refreshing to see an act in this sphere use sonic confrontation in the most repulsive way imaginable. The dual-drums/dual-bass onslaught is absurdly gargantuan, and now with the incomparable Tissue on vocals, the grindcore/power violence/death metal/power electronics monstrosity they've worked themselves into has seen no equal." -WFMU
Noel Von Harmonson
Noel Von Harmonson
This is the solo project of Noel Von Harmonson, the man who is in charge of knob twiddling and complex echoperplexity in Comets on Fire. Bringing horror home to roost, NVH jellies your knees with this stripped down, no-place-to-hide assault. Masterful improvisations and the unadorned appeal of shredding sound viscera, fear will find your heart for you. If ever you’ve wanted to see the rest of Comets on Fire lying quietly dead in a pile while NVH goes completely off, now’s your chance.
