PARTY CORPS BENEFIT FOR AT THE CROSSROADS PARTY CORPS presents a show benefiting At the Crossroads. Party Corps is a non-profit social network that throws parties to raise support for good causes. We use the community building tools of music, dancing, and art to create great parties that bring people together. All proceeds from the events, after costs, go directly to the featured local cause. While raising money is part of what we do for our beneficiaries, building community support and attracting new members for these local causes is another essential purpose of our events. At The Crossroads reaches out to homeless youth and young adults at their point of need, and works with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives. They accomplish their mission through a combination of nighttime street outreach and one-on-one counseling, and collaboration with other service providers. Their goal is to help our clients build outstanding lives, not just lives of subsistence. Mochipet w/ Joey Mousepad and Freddie Future Special collaborative set between Mochipet and MCs Joey Mousepad and Freddie Future! "For the latest XLR8R Podcast, Daly City Records label boss David Wang, better known as Mochipet, showcases many different sounds from his label (as well as the many different ways one can wear a purple jumpsuit). Starting with his own tracks, off his Master P on Atari release, Wang unrolls a mix of future bass, warped hip-hop, and crunked-out electro, weaving in cuts from Eprom, The Flying Skulls, Lupe Fiasco, and his own remix of Jamie Lidell's 'Little Bit of Feel Good.' And there's that take on 'Thriller,' from the unreleased and brilliantly titled Michael Jackson Loves Dubstep." Raashan Ahmad (Crown City Rockers) Raashan Ahmad is the leader of Crown City Rockers (SF Weekly Best of the Bay, URB Next 100), and he's shared stages with Mos Def, Common, and Blackalicious. His recent debut solo disc came out on Om Records and featured Chali 2na and DJ Vadim. "Raashan maintains that old school, golden era hip-hop in his style while simultaneously always managing to sound new and fresh." --Amoeba Music J-Boogie
